About the Centre
The CLE Centre was established in 1997, and  has for many years offered a year-round programme of seminars in the State Library of NSW, working in association with the Faculty of Law at the University of Technology, Sydney.

In recent times, our programme has been scaled back a little to allow time for other things. But we still offer a number of seminars designed to give you a chance to comply with the new MCLE Rule 42 and/or the old Clause 176 of the Legal Profession Regulation, as well as sessions to bring you up to date on developments in the main areas of legal practice.

And we are developing a range of on-line video sessions with the same aim.

The Director

Michael Strickland
was a solicitor in private practice for 15 years (originally in the UK, but for most of the time in NSW) before he joined the College of Law in St Leonards, where he was Head of the CLE Department for 11 years.

Now pretty much retired, he has to fit CLE in between golf, sailing, skiing, tennis, croquet, reading, and other such demanding pursuits.
