| About the Centre |
|
The CLE Centre was established in 1997, with an office in Macquarie Street Sydney, and has for many years offered a year-round programme of seminars in the State Library of NSW, across the road.
Since 1998, we have worked in association with the Faculty of Law at the University of Technology, Sydney. From 1st July 2009, our programme has been confined to a range of seminars designed to afford an opportunity to comply with the new MCLE Rule 42 and/or the old Clause 176 of the Legal Profession Regulation. Details of these can be found on the Seminars page of this site. Papers from our earlier seminars are generally available to purchase separately, and most of them can be e-mailed to you if you ask.
And the Director … ![]() Michael Strickland
was a solicitor in private practice for 15 years, originally in the UK, but for some 12 years in NSW, before joining the College of Law.
There he headed the CLE Department for 11 years, but left to set up the CLE Centre in 1997.
