| About the Centre |
|
The CLE Centre was established in 1997, and for many years offered a regular programme of seminars for practising lawyers in NSW, working in a fruitful association with the Faculty of Law at UTS.
In 2012, however, the Director has planned a further step into retirement, and the work of the Centre will be confined to presenting the Armidale Conference in February, and the Albury Conference in March. After that we shall simply be assisting in the development of a new programme of short couses for the profession to be presented by the Faculty of Law at UTS.
We shall try to keep you posted by e-mail, but you may also like to watch this website …
And the Director … ![]() Michael Strickland
was a solicitor in private practice for 15 years (originally in the UK, but for most of the time in NSW) before joining the College of Law in St Leonards, where he was Head of the CLE Department for 11 years.
Already pretty much retired, any contribution to CLE has to be fitted in between golf, sailing, skiing, tennis, croquet, reading, and other such demanding pursuits.
